Before you Arrive
Lunch - Ensure you bring a packed lunch with you for both days. Alternatively, Tesco and the award-winning catering van ‘Phil You Up’ click here for menu (closed on Sundays) are both just around the corner (6 min walk or quick car journey). We will provide tea, coffee, bottled water and biscuits. If you do choose to grab something from Phil-you-up (highly recommended), be sure to place your order 20 mins ahead by phone, to avoid a long wait - he is popular and can be very busy.
Timings - Please arrive in good time for a prompt 9:00am start (unless you have specifically been given a different start time).

Our address is Rowhurst Forge, Oxshott Road, Leatherhead, Surrey, KT22 0EG (Follow the signs for our Fire & Iron Gallery).
Parking - as you arrive, you will see the grey workshop buildings with ‘The Quinnell School of Blacksmithing’ painted on the wall ahead of you. At this point our driveway turns sharply to the right. After this turn, you should then take an immediate left (observing a black & white sign with an arrow saying ‘Course Parking’) and park nice and tightly in this gravel area. Generally, there will be 8 vehicles parking here and you may need to double park, but don’t worry as you will all be from the same group. The parking in front of the Fire and Iron Gallery building is reserved for gallery visitors and it can get busy on Saturdays. Your course will be taking place in the covered area to the left of where you have just parked. You might be greeted by one of us in the carpark, but if not, please do wander over and say hi!
Depending on how early you arrive, it may be a little smokey as you turn up. All 8 forges will have just been lit, but this passes quickly as they warm up.
Toilets - these are located within the main workshop building and you will be shown their location during the starting briefing at 9am. It may be the case you need to use them before we start - please just ask one of us when you arrive.
Please ensure you are wearing suitable clothing including your safety boots, details for this are found within our Health & Safety information that you must have read prior to attending.
Please contact us if you have any questions or queries at any stage: QSB@fireandiron.co.uk or 01372 375148
